Euro 2020 | Semi-Final Match Reactions | Spain Pay The Penalty Against Italy | England Reach The Final

The last two nights of the Semi Finals were so dramatic, if you did not enjoy the games, then football is not the sport for you. Here are the Match Reactions.

Italy 1-1 Spain (Italy won 4-2 on Penalties)
Wembley played host to what was a very entertaining clash between two sides of trophy winning pedigree, Italy were the overwhelming favourites, however, on reflection, Spain were the better team with the ball, but they failed to finish their chances, you could sense that as the game went on, Italy were going to capitalise on that fact, which proved to be correct as Federico Chiesa scored with a great curling shot. Spain responded by bringing on Alvaro Morata, who scored the equaliser, wrong footing the opposition goalkeeper in the process, there wasn't much in it between the two sides in extra time and as time went on it was noticeable they were settling for the penalty shoot-out. Spain have been poor with penalties throughout the tournament, the scenario proved to be their downfall. Luis Enrique will reflect on what might have been, whereas Roberto Mancini will now turn his focus to the final.

England 2-1 Denmark (After Extra Time)
England's fifty-five year wait to make a major tournament final is over, but it was not easy to say the very least, Denmark took the lead through a great free kick from Mikkel Damsgaard, on the half hour mark, not only was it the first free kick of the tournament that was scored, it was the first goal England conceded, but just nine minutes later, the Three Lions were level after Simon Kjaer turned in Bukayo Saka's cross, credit to Kasper Schmiechel for making fine saves throughout the game, England's constant pressure presented them an opportunity via a penalty, in the hundred and third minute, after Raheem Sterling was fouled by Joakim Maehle, the awarding of the penalty was the CORRECT decision by the way. Harry Kane stepped up to take the penalty, saved by Schmeichel, Kane scored the rebound to put the team two one up. Gareth Southgate's team held on to make their first final since 1966. What a night at Wembley, the celebrations when the final whistle blew are moments us England fans will never forget. The focus now turns to Sunday's final. Also, well done to Denmark on making it this far, their team have done their nation proud.
